fascinating! - I enjoyed the cows too :) have driven past that pub several times, but never been in ...
Have to admit I haven't been in either....!
If you want to find a particular spot, need grid ref (see http://www.gridreferencefinder.com/ ) & then add to URL like this: https://houseprices.io/lab/lidar/map?ref=SK8354480302 … :)
@caitlinrgreen This is a stunning resource for anyone interested in coastal or riverine #archaeology - many thanks!pic.twitter.com/3zlrjfuYKr
@FjordrInfo Makes accessing the data so much quicker! :)
@caitlinrgreen Certainly - though I could lose track of the hours while exploring! Just fascinating ...
Also interesting -- an online, zoomable topographic map: http://en-gb.topographic-map.com/places/England-66577/ …pic.twitter.com/QmfrVkU7Kj
Amazing resource - just spotted probable old field strips in the ex-football ground behind my house. Thanks v much for link!
My pleasure, glad it's useful: so much more user-friendly in this form! :)
@caitlinrgreen Thanks to your tweeting this, I spotted hints of rectilinear field system E of my local IA hillfort!pic.twitter.com/swZqnYj1Fq
@SurreyMedieval Oh, excellent! Such a useful resource :)
@caitlinrgreen is there any way to report possible lidar anomalies for future investigation or review? This map is incredible!
Isn't it fab! The data is via the Environment Agency, so they'd be the people to report to, I think :)
Combined with the atlas of hillforts I’ve been able to check a couple of the spots and they check out as existing sites. I have a new obsession!
@caitlinrgreen @LandscapeIan very interesting. Just had a look a Fotheringhay Castle which appears to have another circular feature near it
