In 2013, another poss burial found Gloucs, said to be of a woman from Sub-Saharan Africa+dated 896-1025 AD:http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-gloucestershire-24106956 …
For interest, the N. Elmham arch report, which includes a (somewhat creepy) discussion of this woman, is now online: http://eaareports.org.uk/assets/uploads/repository/EAA_Report_9_2.pdf …
(Details are on pp.259-62; the report is by Calvin Wells, whose work = 'often marred by sexual innuendo+vulgarity': https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4107771/ …)
This can only be a good thing, right?
Not here... Def creepy vibe, increased when you read some of his other stuff :/ He imagines rape at one point in report...
I...should really read before opening my yap. Very sorry.
It's ok :) Just rather horrid in places. E.g. last para, p. 302, where he indulges in a flight of fantasy involving rape...
Reading that page, I did NOT expect his mind to wander in that particular direction, quite jarring.
It's all *purely* imaginary+not really justified at all, but that bit...well...totally unacceptable. How it got published!?
@caitlinrgreen @nitpickette01 Or a fucking job!
