@caitlinrgreen I imagine an awful lot of Romano-British basilicas, villas, forts, and townhouses looking like this in the 5th/6th C.

@caitlinrgreen The Lincs one really fascinating w a Roman room turned into burial site. I wish we could know & see more from that time.
@STORI3D_PAST Usually dismissed as simply burial at a villa, but arguably a much more interesting site. :) And, yes, absolutely!
@caitlinrgreen But always figured the old villa rooms must've had some value, or Saxons wouldn't have moved to the villa grounds at all.
