A dissenting view, identifying figure as female goddess (Frigga/Freya?) sat on Odin's seat: http://scienceblogs.com/aardvarchaeology/2009/11/13/odin-from-lejre-no-its-freya/ … & http://scienceblogs.com/aardvarchaeology/2010/05/03/lejre-excavator-publishes-his/ …

@caitlinrgreen mm looks like a beard or moustache to me on the lips area and what Freya is doing on Odin's seat if it is indeed Odin's seat? -
@Umarkarim89 yes, looks like a moustache to me too, but perhaps not?! Frigga sits in seat on occasion in myths :) -
@caitlinrgreen mm you know the knowledge thing :) Mmm if some other such things are found from the place may be that can setup the pattern -
@Umarkarim89 See p.86 of this for both Odin and Frigga sat in his seat :) http://www.sacred-texts.com/neu/poe/poe06.htm … -
@caitlinrgreen but does not it suggest they sat together and not one person in the other seat, the artifact shows only a single person -
@Umarkarim89 Well, does imply Frigga permitted to use, but yes, you're right :) -
@caitlinrgreen anyways i was expecting archaeologists will favourite my comment regarding all archaeologists as goodlooking :D bt silence :( - 6 more replies

@caitlinrgreen some people don't like to connect Vikings w/ civilization but I think you believe there was a Viking civilization.
