Dr.@caitlinrgreen Is there any trace of Anglo-Saxon language in the British Isles prior to AD 410?

Dr.@caitlinrgreen I think you do not like the idea of invasion, well is there another explanation?https://twitter.com/Ahmed_Alhasania/status/604211131612291072 …

@Ahmed_Alhasania No, I'm happy with a degree of immigration, just also w/ significant population continuity too, see http://www.caitlingreen.org/2015/01/lincolnshire-anglo-saxon-or-sub-roman.html …

Dr.@caitlinrgreen almost the same here I think a small invasion w/ small effect on the gene pool but gave language.https://twitter.com/caitlinrgreen/status/609772926020243456 …

@Ahmed_Alhasania Yes, a degree of immigration makes sense of the genetic data & the archaeological etc, IMHO :)

Dr.@caitlinrgreen invasions had little effect on the gene pool e.g: Arabs conquered Egypt w/ 12000 & Normans' army in 1066 was 10000 strong.
