@caitlinrgreen makes me wonder what trad. Lincs ales were like pre consolidation. if nothing else that post got you a sale of Louth A-Z
@T3_Stephen Thanks, hope you enjoy! :) Not sure if like earlier ales, but this independent brewery in town=v good: http://www.fulstowbrewery.com/index.html ;)
@T3_Stephen (brewery is newish and at the other end of town and doesn't use the local spring water, but has an old-fashioned ethos!)
@caitlinrgreen I have a recipe book laying around with old regional ales from GB. I have brewed a few of them, most were Yorks
@T3_Stephen Interesting! Do they work the same? Am sure I heard something on the radio about hops being different nowadays....?
@caitlinrgreen hops and barley like any commercial plant changes over time, since I didn't live then can't answer. tasted fine to me.
@T3_Stephen Indeed! And, tbh, that's all that's required, no!? :)
@caitlinrgreen hops, barley, water, and yeast a bit of time and it is all good.
