Maps of Iron Age & Roman Lincolnshire + a 1stC BC gold coin of Corieltavi tribe from Ludford: https://finds.org.uk/database/artefacts/record/id/419935 …pic.twitter.com/beRtVbUY1K
@caitlinrgreen boundaries on LH map = notably even "slicing" of area (to these eyes!)
@CatherineEsse yes, it's intriguing, no?! Though note multiple centres in North of Lincs close by each other, but not further south...
@caitlinrgreen hmmm also proximity to water there, ?maybe relevant?
@CatherineEsse possibly so!
Sadly not able to use these to illustrate blog post, due to license, and v few of these Iron Age or Romano-British items on PAS database.
@caitlinrgreen to sell it you'd want to protect it or feel gutted if people were using your work without sparing a thought for you.
@EquineAnn oh, agree. But these are just artefact pics from auctions, little value and a CC BY-NC licence would be of academic benefit :)
@caitlinrgreen history. I was already interested in history. I just never went to college & left school 17 years ago so am a bit rusty.
@EquineAnn history is one of those great subjects where you don't need to have studied it in depth to enjoy :)
@caitlinrgreen subjects were stagecoaching,history of medicine & soc & economic history.
@EquineAnn Ah, yes, history of medicine is fascinating! :)
@caitlinrgreen anything else.
Other Ludford finds also to be found on ebay, e.g. this silver Corieltavi coin of the 1stC BC: http://m.ebay.com/itm/350754050418?cmd=VIDESC&gxo=true …pic.twitter.com/Ltm3hv5Ba0
Is it me or does that last RT picture look very much like an eye...? @caitlinrgreen @PrimitiveMethod
@shanimalay @DrJoyHawkins @PrimitiveMethod Lol! Well, here's the wizard's staff from the same site.... ;)pic.twitter.com/ZR2t3jBzI2
