@Umarkarim89 I've done a little on them, more on Byzantine empire and near east. Main research is Britain & W Europe, though :) -
@Umarkarim89 However, have wide-ranging interests! -
@caitlinrgreen ahaan great incredible i wud say.i hv always been fascinated by Muslim spain and where did those Muslims go after reconquesta -
@Umarkarim89 Also intriguing--I gather some of expelled Jews ended up in Cairo, but significant number of Muslims returned after expulsion? -
@caitlinrgreen well it depends you are talking about Muslim explusion 4m where? as in case of Spain thr were no Muslims left -
@Umarkarim89 Ah, my understanding=many nominally converted to Christianity (Moriscos), these later expelled but significant number returned? -
@Umarkarim89 Moriscos: http://www.historytoday.com/roger-boase/muslim-expulsion-spain … Return after explusion: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Expulsion_of_the_Moriscos#Edict_and_expulsion …. Of course, not at all my specialism! - 3 more replies
