Thanks. :-) Considering the finds of roman items in Iron Age Scandinavia, and the Viking Age trade routes, one might assume that beads would have been found or if found noticed by researchers. Might it be, there are none, or have they just not been identified yet?
Well, they are present in their thousands in Merovingian graves, including graves excavated back into the 19thC, but only just recently have they been identified and their significance recognised, fwiw... :)
That makes sense. I have been reading your posts with great interest, and I have been wondering if the trade connections to Britain could be stretched further on to Scandinavia (but I guess no one has made the work you have for Scandinavia yet). Thanks for the answers.
