For what it's worth, I do think the 'appreciative about Britain' stuff has a hint of racism in it. I'm the child of an immigrant, but white. No-one has ever said it to me.

It has always been about racism. If Shakespear was writing a play about black people then we have been here a lot longer than Windrush. The fact is only white people are treated as British.
