I'm not surprised - rats are awesome. I still miss ours. They were thoroughly good little fellows.https://twitter.com/rightpet/status/1052270498422251520 …

Rats as pets are awesome. I had them in my youth. My daughter now has lots and operates as a rat rescue centre in Devon 🏅. She gives them all names ending in “-ie” sound. The latest rescue is apparently v tubby so she’s called Peshwari.

I miss my ratties. The were awesome pets. I always recommend them as great pets for children. Parents never seem keen. My Stilletto would fall asleep on my shoulder and snore.

Met a pair of lovely Fancy Rats whilst working on a short horror film. They were such loving and inquisitive creatures. Best day of filming ever!

We had two rats, Coco & Hazel. Used to enjoy the look of horror when I told people we had them (to be fair it was probs the same as mine when it was first mentioned). Such fun, great tricks, very sweet. My son adored them, such lovely pets.

We have them at school. Not as pets but strolling about like they own the place. One was hiding in the computer cupboard. A squirrel ran by with a sausage roll one way which was then stolen by a rat seen running back the other way. I like them but not good in a school.
