This thread is the simplest, clearest explanation of Brexit. "Believing" in Brexit makes no difference - politically, it's not HAPPENING. There's no plan. Which means, when we crash out of the EU next year, it will be a terrifying disaster:https://twitter.com/uk_domain_names/status/1051411763680473090 …

    Caitlin Moran added,

    Edwin Hayward @uk_domain_names
Here's the truth about Brexit, the "punishment" some people claim the EU wants to inflict on us, the full horrific consequences of no deal, and the dangers lurking behind any deal we reach. Buckle in, it's pretty long. Better to be thorough than to leave anything out. 1/47

Err, you know that that was a prediction, right? And on the basis of that prediction, the BoE did this: https://www.theguardian.com/business/2016/aug/04/bank-of-england-all-action-response-brexit-qe-interest-rate-cut … Maybe that had some impact on mitigating the post-Brexit-vote economic damage?

We all need to get our heads around what a no deal Brexit means. You can’t trade without a trade deal. We will literally be the only country in the world without any trade deal. Here’s a hard hitting summary of what a no deal Brexit actually means... https://www.docdroid.net/m3YvOS5/brexit-truth-revised.pdf …

That is true Caitlin. Or we could stop Brexit first. Join us I hope on the big anti Brexit march on Saturday in central London. This may be our last chance to show how much opposition there is to the economy destroying lunacy that is Brexitpic.twitter.com/MInM4X1Kao

A deal was promised. It was going to be ‘the easiest deal in human history’ and day after the vote the German car manufacturers were supposed to be knocking on Merkel’s door begging for a very favourable have-your-cake-and-eat-it deal for the U.K. Not exactly what happened is it.

It's a good effort by Edwin but not balanced with the positives of leaving. Not a single mention of a blue passport.

That was always the goal. It is the only thing that aligns with what has happened so far. We were told Chequers couldn't happen 2 years ago. Why else would may keep on pushing it? Because it is an option? Hard Brexit is the only goal.

I believe that belief helps bring things to reality - if the idea that you're believing in actually has some semblance of merit or at least understanding of what on earth it actually is. No one is clear what Brexit means so how can 1 believe so strongly in something so nebulous?
