    Happy birthday Sir Richard Starkey MBE, the first Beatle to inhabit an Octogenarian’s Garden. At 7 he was in a coma, in hospital, certain to die. At 14 he was hospitalised with pleurisy/TB. At 22 he became a Beatle. At 80 he’s healthy and still banging the drum for peace & love.
