Canada's public, universal health care system is one of our greatest strengths. It's part of what makes us who we are as a country. Last year, as COVID-19 raged, Erin O'Toole was asked if he would bring private, "for-profit" healthcare to Canada. He responded unequivocally: yes.pic.twitter.com/dISRKrIjr0

Your Housing Crisis transferred billions to wealthy foreigners. Your paid sick leave policy didnt come when many people were dying.

It is also the second most expensive system in the world after the US. With below average outcomes. We can do better, as other western countries have done. With universality and a hybrid model.
-
Not only is that false, but increasing privatization drives up cost and you won’t know it because such corporate contracts are unFOIPable.

I've been using "for-profit" healthcare the entire time you've been in office. Are you saying youre going to make the Canadian healthcare system non-profit?
-
People & non-profits obviously make some money - salaries are necessary. There is a major difference between your doctor being paid & a corporation paying that doctor & making profits to satisfy stockholders & other corporations. Not to mention politicians needing their payoff.

I mean, there’s a video of him saying it.

So, a months-long wait for a mammaogram under the present health care delivery system is OK with you? Just trying to clarify your position.
-
Your take question is disingenuous nonsense presuming that the only way to improve health care is to privatize it. Secondly, it’s rare for any mammogram to be months-long wait. HC scheduling is also triaged so urgent needs skip the wait.

Thanks for letting us know. We were considering voting for him. Now we won't.
