Canada's public, universal health care system is one of our greatest strengths. It's part of what makes us who we are as a country. Last year, as COVID-19 raged, Erin O'Toole was asked if he would bring private, "for-profit" healthcare to Canada. He responded unequivocally: yes.pic.twitter.com/dISRKrIjr0

Canada’s nurses, doctors, and health care workers are the true heroes of our fight against the virus, and our publicly funded healthcare system is the spine of our COVID-19 response, and of our vaccine rollout.

Erin O'Toole wants to cut taxes for the wealthy and cut services, like public health care, for everyone else. Watch his full answer committing to private, "for-profit" healthcare here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x9S7eCRjmXY …

You are either uninformed or deliberately misguiding Canadians. It’s one or the other. Canadians have equal access to wait lists. If one has money they can leave
for treatment. If they are well enough connected they can bypass our system. I’ve seen both happen. -
It’s deliberately misguiding and gaslighting us into believing the lie that our system works. I’m type one diabetic and NONE of my insulin or life saving supplies are covered. I am forever enslaved to work to have private health coverage in our extremely cruel system or I die.

Our healthcare system couldn’t handle a bad flu season alone a pandemic we had to cancel hundreds of thousands of operations and lock everybody down for a year and a half give me a break

Because provinces didn’t do their job and protect the elderly in LTC and people didn’t stay the blazes home! Now the ones getting Covid and hospitalized are majority unvaccinated.

How novel! Now focus on a national Pharma care program to lower drug prices that are holding Canadians hostage for the Pharmaceuticals!
Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Waiting 6 months to see an orthopaedic surgeon to get on a two year waiting list for a knee replacement. What’s good about this universal health care?
-
I’m sorry you have to wait, but in the US I’m still envious. I have 2 friends (both nurses) who also need knee replacements but will probably never get them. One would have to sell her modest home to afford it. The other simply can’t.
