Many Canadians continue to face uncertainty with difficult, but necessary, public health measures during COVID-19. Last night, legislation went through to further help 🇨🇦 households.

This means an increased number of weeks of benefits for: ✔️ the Canada Recovery Benefit ✔️ the Canada Recovery Sickness Benefit ✔️ the Canada Recovery Caregiving Benefit and ✔️ Employment Insurance regular benefits.

My son who was a student until April 2020 was told to pay back the benefits because he didn’t have a “drop” in income of 50% and now gets nothing. No benefits, no income amd now owes $3200. No one to call, no one to help. This is crap.

Good news for them. But what about me. I'm not quite old enough for CPP. To many health conditions to work. Have my own income just below disability income but make too much for disability. Some of us have been forgotten.

Chrystia Freeland, why are disabled Canadians not a priority to your party? I agree with autonomy but if you're going to provide a dignified death, you should provide a dignified life so that poverty is never the reason someone chooses MAiD.pic.twitter.com/n7fakegMDO

Chrystia Freeland, why did it take only 4 days for the Liberal party to extend seven hundred and fifty billion dollars in supports to the big banks BUT seven long months to give some disabled Canadians a measly $600 cheque? Are they not important to your party?
