As enhanced lockdowns come into effect in Manitoba today and as lockdowns are extended in our largest city, Toronto, Canadians should know that the federal government will be there to do whatever is necessary to support people and businesses.
Our business support legislation will extend the wage subsidy, create a new rent subsidy, and create a new lockdown support provision to help businesses affected by these restrictions.
Today, I will be appearing before the Senate and I urge all Parliamentarians to swiftly pass this critical legislation so we can get support to everyone who needs it.

We need your help to expand CEBA loan to new businesses that opened their companies after March 1, 2020. So those businesses could benefit from CEBA loan and employ more people. It is tough times for those new businesses as well. Thanks

Your new rent subsidy for business requires the businesses to first pay their rent then get reimbursed by the plan. If they hod money on hand to pay their rent, they wouldn't need the rent subsidy.
