Moral of the story? Newfoundlanders suck at war.
My thoughts are with the people of Newfoundland today as we commemorate the Battle of Beaumont-Hamel. Of the nearly 800 brave Newfoundlanders who went into battle on July 1, 1916, only 68 answered to roll call the following morning. Let us honour their sacrifice.
