I am an Iranian international student at University of Manitoba in Winnipeg. A few hours ago, my fiancé who is an American citizen arrived in Winnipeg, while they let him leave the airport for 4 hours, they didn’t grant him entry and he had to go back on the plane or
else he’d have been arrested. This was due to the fact that ‘I’ am not a Canadian citizen. I understand the chaos, but citizens are not the ones who are vulnerable at times like this. They’re people like me.
