Trade and essential travel across the border will continue unimpeded. Our supply chains ensure that food, fuel, and life-saving medicines reach people on both sides of the border. Canadians and Americans also cross the border every day to do essential work.
We urge all Canadians to do their part: listen to the advice of public health officials, practice social distancing and wash your hands often! The decisions you make now will save lives.

Is there a clear list of those who qualify as essential services, other than healthcare and transport? What about farmers/farm workers (with visas to work in the USA) who live in Canada and cross the border every day for work?
What about all the illegal refugees coming in? Why aren’t they denied entry to Canada? Same rule should apply to every international individual. What if they have the virus? I heard from the Canadian border union that no screening is being done on these refugees, why?
They SHOULD be screened for sure!
