Congratulations! The more women are engaged in foreign and security policy, the more balance, common sense and awareness is brought in.

Gee, I thought experience, intelligence, and knowledge were important factors for politicians. What was I thinking? It’s all about gender fluff. What’s the difference if it were more one sided than the other, or all women, vice versa? Shouldn’t it be about the “right” person?

Presumably the most qualified and competent candidate regardless of gender association. Not sure why her gender needed to be emphasized in announcing her appointment. Pretty sure people would figure out she’s a woman if they didn’t already know that. Makes a better footnote

Thanks, sir, but everyone is tired of this tired take that's been rattled off over and over and not actually been helpful to anyone. Celebrating things moving us towards true gender equality is good. Let simply good things happen without complaining, please.
