It's absolutely appropriate to use as an insult. Being misogynistic is not a protected class; this is a label they created themselves to 'justify' their misogyny, i.e. "Girls won't bone me, so it's okay for me to hate them." tl;dr "incel" is in no way equivalent to those slurs.

And this is the reason why they are angry. Hatred is not a good response to misogyny. And lumping all incels as misogynist ignores the plurality of the human condition.

Self-proclaimed incels aren't an example of plurality of human condition, but of singularity of opinion. They weren't born this way, they chose their path.

That's ridiculous. There are multiple reason that can range from severe social anxiety, mental illness and neurodiversity. Lumping everyone into a single pot ignores the reality of the diverse reason they might find themselves incel.

I’m going to assume you’ve mixed up the various social, mental etc mechanisms that lead to not being sexually active with Incel. Incel is an ideology and a (flawed) belief system. It’s a violent one, and absolutely singular. The examples you gave aren’t what falls under incel.

It's both. There is the incel condition and there is the incel internet ideology. The incel ideology is a subset of the condition.

No, the incel "condition" never had this name. "Incel" just refers to the ideology. But that you're willing to give them the benefit of the doubt is somewhat preoccupying.

Wrong again. Incel condition came first and it was only when they got together online that they radicalized. In fact,
@OffDutyEmperor sent me this article affirming what I've been saying. There are incels and then ghey get radicalized incels, you guys keep conflating the 21 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

There's no "incel condition". It's been called "being single" for the longest of time. However, "incel" directly refers to single men having a specific belief about why they are single. "Single men" aren't necessarily creepy, while "incels" definitely are.

There was not 'computer', or 'phat', or 'thot', or a thousands of other words. Language evolves.

You keep implying that somehow incel is just the current general term for unhappily-virgins. It's not. No one is claiming that except you(and cite evidence if I'm incorrect). Common usage of incel: https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=incel …
