If Dom has conceded that the UX isn't optimal, given the reasons why it wasn't a focus (valid reasons), and have set out to correct it (Trinity) then why do people like yourself continue to harp on it?

because this flaw can easily be patched to prevent against the "edge cases" -- and im quoting
@LewisFreiberg here.2 replies 0 retweets 2 likes -
You actually aren't quoting
@LewisFreiberg in regards to the "easily fixed" part. He was quoting the original "researcher". You should take your time next time you're writing to make sure you get your "facts" straight.pic.twitter.com/gYsz9s1jn9

Hey Mix, why not just publish the sensationalist headline of "IOTA is vulnerable, sell all your tokens" next time? It's such an "easy fix" to make after it has been published and spread across the web, right? I'm sure
@TheNextWeb would approve.3 replies 4 retweets 30 likes -

if arguing over the how difficult it would be to fix this 'feature' is all you can do, then i'm not sure why ur upset over the report.

See the reason why you're facing this torrential backlash is because you don't really know what you're arguing about here. IOTA employs Winternitz OTS to sign transactions. That is a core protocol choice. That is not something to be patched out. WOTS = do not reuse addresses.

since at best it was sloppy reporting and at worst a malicious one, then @TheNextWeb ought to pull out that article if they care about journalistic integrity. in any case, the $IOTA haters and trolls are happily feasting on it and spreading it wide already. damage has been done.
