"Simple fix" as in forbidding address re-use in the new official wallet. "Not to patch the exploit" as in not to change it at protocol level because it's a side effect of Winternitz one-time signatures - a necessity for quantum-resistance. Geez...

You're bending his words in order to confuse readers and justify the sensational headline.

lewis never brought up winternitz one-time signs in the response. i've added a clarification he didn't indicate how difficult of a fix it is, but merely said iota has no immediate plans of patching.

A reddit response shouldn't be your sole means of research regarding the subject. If you don't understand the matter fully then you should refrain from writing an article about it.

i reached out to dom and david (and their PR rep) because i've previously been in touch with them and already had their contacts. would've been totally okay if they included u in the conversation.

Another lie. You reached out asking for comment on an incomprehensibly false and incoherent article while stating "this goes out within 30 minutes, so you can only respond in that time frame". I responded within 10 minutes, yet you had already pushed out the publication.Just stop

Most journalists just want to be first. They aren't concerned with quality or truth. They're attention seeking and only out for monetary gain. They choose money over ethics. It's up to us to call them out and boycott news sources that encourage such behavior.

who needs facts when the clickbaity title of the article is what $IOTA haters and trolls would read anyway. what this article probably needs is a retraction, not an update
