C and c++ are used to write mission critical code in medical devices, cars, airplanes, and satellites and many devices that power industry where lives are on the line. If it is suitable for life and death applications it is good for contracts.#eosio

Memory leaks are not a problem with smart contracts. You could new and never delete and be fine.

When a contract allocates memory to itself even if that memory is never manually freed within the contract it will be freed once it has halted and the virtual machine is done with it because the context is dropped.
