The only spectrum of rational thinking that can be done is through a *singular* logic. Polylogism is the absence of thinking and the acceptance of the irrational.
either you only studied it academically or you’ve had sucky dharma teachers
Buddhism is not nihilistic. it can’t even be categorized as a single discipline or belief system. it’s a spectrum of philosophies and practices evolved through human history. did you actually practice?
-
-
Yes, I did. The abrogation of self is by definition nihilistic. Losing one's self-hood is not a goal to be proud of. It is also rather hypocritical.
-
so you stopped at the gates i see
losing the self is just the first step.
realizing that there’s no self to begin with takes bigger balls
this no bs. see latest developments in neuroscience. #hardcoredharma -
No, that is just even more nihilistic. It takes far more balls to step up and see that you are real and that you are the thing you have to manage, that it is you who make your own choices. The other is a cop out
-
the bigger balls is doing BOTH! knowing in the back of your mind that the self is impermanent, and then acting out in the real world with passion and compassion to change it for the better even if everything is in flux.
#hardcoredharma -
No, acting from passion when you know it is you and that the costs are real and you bear them
-
appreciate, transcend, and improve the human condition, don’t have to be mutually exclusive. https://youtu.be/9PB0YKPBn0w

And you also assume that you are right, and this is the path. That is a form of absolute.
-
no. it’s only one of the many out there. it’s just happen to be the path that i’m most familiar with. i can’t discuss or promote what i don’t know
