I can categorically state that hypothetical business plans around sidechains play no role in engineering decisions...

If that’s the case, then maybe we should be asking to see the non-hypothetical business plans instead?

Please stop it with the conspiracy theories. This is just basic computer science. O(n^2) won't scale.

The leading cause of startup failures is premature scaling aka trying to solve problems that don’t (yet) exist by over-engineering them.

I think we can all at least agree that we want global adoption and on-chain O(n^2) will not work for mass scale. http://bigocheatsheet.com/ pic.twitter.com/wzsayn2yMg

obviously,
@ProfFaustus@nChainGlobal@PeterRizun@Dashpay disagree with your assertion. at least there’s proof that 1GB block can work.3 replies 0 retweets 4 likes -
Define “work”? Can it “work” while maintaining Bitcoin’s singular value proposition: censorship-resistance?

It’s not about how “hard” it is. There’s a fundamental trade-off being made. Sure, you can have 100 GB blocks and no censorship-resistance.

my point is simple: if it can’t be done then no one will be able to do it. just get out of their way and LET THEM FAIL and do your thing.
