my pet theory is that existence bias is encoded in our genes. so awake beings just let it play out rather than short circuiting it.

There are two directions of awakening: 1 down to the zero point and the other toward infinity. Nirvana is an example of the first sort.

But there are plenty of examples of the second sort. And also of the both-at-once variety. That, to me, explains guys like Aurobindo.
