so all nodes have to store the entire tx history? but that’s the purpose of permanodes, right? lighter nodes just need recent snapshots.

Right. But then you have to trust those making the snapshots. Over time it becomes more centralised and...well...that's bad right?

it’s definitely a problem that needs to be solved by any crypto project that scales. but blockchain centralization (i.e. mining) is worse.

just imagine Bitcoin forks implementing EDA and miners implementing algos to game the EDA. good for miners tho.
