#Carbonfree in 6 (six!) years?!? Sounds too good to be true if it took 24 years to cut the first (and easier) 50%.But setting an ambitious goal is a start, I guess.

Actually, you have <21 months to get to carbon-neutral globally in order to avoid mass extinction within the next decade. After that, there will be nothing you can do to mitigate human extinction.

The Danes are simply exporting their pollution. Rockwool is building coal powered megafactories in the US with toxic emissions, and sending profits to Denmark.
#ToxicRockwool -
No toxic Rockwool in Jefferson County, West Virginia! Build your plant in Denmark and not here!

We favour ‘zero air emission’ not ‘carbon neutral’ because it’s clearer and less open to fudge, offsetting, trading etc
-
“Zero carbon emissions” would be preferable.
-
No because many greenhouse gases don’t include carbon eg ozone and oxides of nitrogen

@AliceBahKuhnke still waiting for Sweden to become world's first ISO 14001 certified country... -
And why not ISO 26262 as well? ”Functional safety” would be needed in so many countries/goverments/cities these days...

Danish capital aims to be carbon neutral by 2025. If they can do it so can the others. It isn't stated how they will
@stopflying -
True, the focus is on reducing energy use. Lin Taylor reports on the need to take “into account not just emissions generated in Copenhagen but those produced when ... things made or grown elsewhere.” And hopefully no flying.https://www.reuters.com/article/us-copenhagen-climatechange-carbon/cycling-city-copenhagen-sprints-to-become-first-carbon-neutral-capital-idUSKCN1MF061 …
