    basically, the weird π²/6 solution to a series of reciprocols of integer exponents has everything to do with the fact that the trigonometric function sin(x) can be expressed as a series of reciprocols of integer factorials constants times x to integer degrees. nice animations.

  4. PORTAL. Project by me from September 6, 2018. just simple particle system with 50 particles emitted from an ellipse surface each frame, with some other stuff. However today I decided to make it loop perfectly with minimal change in appearance. Fun challenge.

  9. I was inspired by so I made THIS: yeh it could use some work. i tried adding aurora borealis and failed so i removed it. I'm using my repeating gradient noise algorithm to generate the ice surface. also need to fix those artifacts in the distance

    Ha! U can make looping 3D fractal noise with custom code. (i.e. only need math functions) as seen here: jk the algorithm is simple but also i invented it myself after reading: here is my code:

    basically, he shoots a laser out of an eye, simulates it traveling throgh a few dozen shards of warped space until it hits something, then he defy the law of physics by sending information from that point to the retina instantanneously and if the laser go to far it hit the sky...

  16. Ha! a rule very similar to this ruleset (they call it "4644" which is LFR for S:4,5,6B:4. Mine is S:4,5,6 B:4,8) and like half of the oscillators in my similar ruleset had already been discovered.
