The indignation on social media today about this is somewhat hilarious, especially as some other services already enforce policies like PIN code verification to disincentivise sharing (and many more say so in their ToS, they just haven't cracked down yet).

Prefacing this by saying it's entirely Netflix's fault for training an entire consumer base for more than a decade on terrible pre-conceived notions of value and leaning into sharing as a brand identity but: did anyone think Netflix was going to allow password sharing forever?

A random example of Siri sillyness, via Verge's HomePod review: if you ask it who is playing in the Super Bowl, it can't tell you ... But it _does_ actually know! If you ask for 'when is the Super Bowl', you get times and all the team information.

I like HomeKit a lot but the native automation options are still very limited. Need to get HomeBridge hacks involved to do anything useful with a motion sensor.

TV+ has cancelled a few shows to date but Shantaram is an ugly one; cancelled the same day the season finale episode comes out that ends with 'To Be Continued' as the final frame. (Show cost a lot to make, didn't catch on, and isn't that good so can understand the decision.)

To be clear, I wasn't necessarily expecting to see improvements. My accessories already respond as fast as I could reasonably expect them to. The promise of the new architecture is also targeted at people with many, many accessories — that's where old HomeKit could chug a lot.

Upgraded to the new HomeKit architecture. Cameras flipped to Off state (had to set back to stream + record), otherwise haven't seen issues — but also haven't really seen a tangible benefit either — yet.
