I asked this on the Size Five discord a while back and the consensus was that the built-in security is fine unless you're doing really dodgy stuff.
Nerd question alert: I got fed up with AVG and so have reverted to Windows 10 in-built security for Virus and threat protection. Is that good enough these days, or should I be looking at an additional subscription?

Great minds don't just think alike they ask the same great questions. Someone else has pointed out that if other people use it - IE MY SON - then additional protection is probably wise.

Good point - my son is on it at weekends. I'll go find an additional layer of protection - I don't suppose you have any recommendations? The cheaper the better ideally.

Kaspersky Total Security is £15 a year for up to 10 devices if you shop around. It's *very* good and would definitely add enough extra comfort to make it worthwhile. No need to be sucked into the auto-renew either. I just rebuy each year for £15.
