Having failed to complete loads of other projects, this was pretty much designed on paper to be something I could actually finish. So design is basic, art simple, music just 2-3 minute ideas.

Still took 18 months of intermittent pottering, mastering lots of deeply unsexy things you never think of. Like save systems, menus, text, cameras and so on. Learned A LOT.

The most interesting thing is how much even a brief story was pushed and pulled by code. Things that didn't work, took to long, realizing an existing feature could be repurposed. This isn't the game I started making, but it's the one I could finish.

Anyway, shipped it.
