Quest owners: I'm finding the beta release of Virtual Desktop is running Alyx better than tethered. Obviously YMMV but worth a shot if you fancy shitting yourself without wires getting in the way.

Interesting! Did you have to side load Virtual Desktop? If so, was it straightforward?
Yeah, you need to buy it from the Store then side load via Sidequest and install a server on your PC. Much easier than it sounds - but it's the beta version which is giving significantly better performance.
