I have a Mac and a PC next to each other on my desk. In fact the two mouses are literally sat next to each other. After several years I automatically scroll the opposite way on each mouse.

I've always used this: https://symless.com/synergy (I have a work laptop and personal laptop running at the moment, and it makes it far less confusing using a single mouse and keyboard)
