I think the comparison is owning a Bluray but demanding to watch it on Netflix, which no on would expect. Whereas here, GeForce now is a provider in as much as the company that made your monitor or your broadband supplier, none of which Beth/Act take a commission from AFAIK

Yeah, that sounds about right. It's a stumbling block we're probably going to see more as streaming services take shape in the games space and publishers get to grips with the change in the business model.
