To the folks theorizing Pence authored the oped: I don’t know, but I’ll say this: There have been multiple times in which senior congressional aides have asked why Pence wasn’t more involved in trying to talk Trump down from decisions like tariffs. He’s been pretty deferential.

The language choices suggest Kellyanne to me. Pence is a true believer and had been from the start. Kellyanne came in late and given what her husband does in Twitter almost daily it makes sense. To me anyway
