    CO Dems are cowards. Won’t do meaningful criminal justice reform Won’t do meaningful LL/tenant reform. Won’t create a public health option. Won’t ban assault rifles.

    This is big but it happened late Friday so ICYMI: Colorado Democrats plan to abandon what is arguably the state's biggest criminal justice reform bill of the year. It was opposed by many cops, cities, Rs and some Ds. The Ds will start over with a new bill.

    No access, no justice. A review of data from over 20 cities and states found that about 81% of landlords had attorneys while only 3% of tenants did, according to the National Coalition for a Civil Right to Counsel.

    eliminate the filibuster, pass the judiciary act of 2021, expand the court. we CAN do these things—if there is real public will. call 202-224-3121 and tell your senators and reps how you feel.

    To be clear, the Supreme Court is only poised to overturn Roe because of Amy Coney Barrett. Roberts sided with the liberals in a 5–4 abortion decision last summer (albeit begrudgingly and with qualifications). With Barrett's confirmation, the court flipped against Roe and Casey.

    Colorado Senate Democrats plan to kill what would have been a landmark bill on policing and jail population, SB21-62. They have just introduced a new and similar — but significantly less sweeping — bill in its place. Story with details coming shortly.

    Why is it - that the unemployment benefits are too generous rather than the pay offered by employers too low? Pay more $ = find more workers If margins are so thin, that you cannot increase pay without passing it through/losing customers = your biz model doesn’t work

    A close acquaintance of mine died from COVID on Sunday. What saddens me about her death is that she was offered the vaccine but refused because she wanted to see how others reacted.

    Colorado has great voting systems that are a model for the nation. But I wish we cared as much about building an accessible and efficient safety net as we do about voting rights. Economic justice and democracy shouldn’t be separate causes, as failure in one undermines the other

    I found out I have gestational diabetes and scheduled my vaccine on the same day. And I don’t know whether to be happy I’m getting a vaccine or sad I can’t get my free Krispy Kreme donut until JUNE! ❤️🍩💉
