Sen Josh Hawley (R-Mo.), a speculated 2024 candidate, introduces a bill that in part calls for election officials to count mail ballots as they come in. That's exactly what secretaries of state in these swing states wanted to happen, but were blocked by GOP legislatures

It would be funny if it weren't so serious. Trump and the GOP legislatures literally engineered the sequence of the vote count and are now PISSED because the count came in exactly how they designed it. Make it make sense.pic.twitter.com/ZRHsCIvOZl

Because trump thought he’d get the courts to stop the count. That was his plan. it didn’t work.

Interesting and a good idea, but what is the basis for legislating this at the federal level? Wouldn't this be a state issue (10th Amendment)?

Funny how they know see how shortsighted they were. Maybe next they will make a bill to make it illegal to slow down the mail

One would think some Republicans would be embarrassed, ashamed at being called white supremacists. I’ve seen nothing to indicate any of them feel this way. It just blows the mind.
