Further, I see tweets about "this one style of illustration devalues the art" — actually, policing people on what they can + cannot draw in such an unconstructive, reductive manner is the number one way to destroy creativity. And I won't see it happen for young artists out there.
I don't want young illustrators, especially female artists, to see precisely this unhelpfully unconstructive, 100% reductive reasoning and think it's okay. It's not. Draw what you want. If clients want to take your work and blow it up on a billboard, more power + respect to you.
