Love the fact Prince William is wearing forget-me-note (one of his mother’s favourite flowers) in his button hole at #Coronation BP garden party. And was just as delighted to meet Dame Elizabeth (from ) as she, him! And apparently Kate is the strict parent!!

The Prince of Wales was visibly surprised when he was told Dame Elizabeth Watts had attended the coronations of three monarchs, despite once having to sleep on the pavement. Read more 👉 trib.al/MMbTtuV

Absolutely loving Penny Mordaunt in bespoke Safiyaa with the fern motif embroidery of the Privy Council. She has such an important role as Lord President (of the PC) & also Leader of the Commons. Magnificent sword-bearing!! 🗡

Love this! C&C have recorded a special announcement to be played to commuters on the rail & tube networks as they travel to the #Coronation  celebrations (and anywhere else) over the weekend. Very amusing from 👑 Charles: “And remember, please mind the gap….”

As I pointed out to Polly; King Charles will be swearing homage to us as our public servant. He takes that duty extremely seriously: the theme of the #Coronation is ‘Called to Serve’ & in the King’s oath on Sat he “solemnly promises” to serve.

"He should be swearing homage to us" says the Guardian's Polly Toynbee on the announcement that the public are invited to swear allegiance to the King. Royal commentator Emily Andrews disagrees, saying that he will be a "public service king" trib.al/nxNiejY 📺 Sky 501

So lovely to meet this morning to chat about the #Coronation & Homage of the People (or People’s Pledge as I’m calling it!). Archaic & misguided or innovative & inclusive? Certainly mixed opinions ; thanks for having us and great to be part of the team today!

Well this is fascinating… and the timing too!! The king wrote to Meghan after THAT 💣 Oprah I/view expressing his sadness & M replied. Key phrase which sums up whole saga; ‘their feeling that their family plays second fiddle to the Waleses’. Great read

"While we do not comment on private finances, your figures are a highly creative mix of speculation, assumption & inaccuracy" This response shows the arrogance of royal press management & a system exempting a core institution of state from accountability

Prince Harry has appeared at the High court to offer his “support” to a legal claim against ANL, publisher of the Daily Mail. He is not expected to see his father while he is in the UK as he was told the King was “busy” the Telegraph understands

Polls on the popularity of the Royal Family used to be rare but are now very regular. The general picture seems to be the whole Harry and Meghan spat has damaged all of them - but the Sussexes most of all. Here’s today’s one.

This is genuinely amazing! It feels like you are actually in Persepolis. 👏🏻 👏🏻 @GettyMuseum Would love to see more of this for (eg) Parthenon/Olympia/Pompeii etc. Really brings ancient sites to life.

Investing in our 0-5 year-olds is probably one of THE most important issues facing government today. It is the most important time in all our lives & dictates the adults we become. We need society to prioritise both this age & the care-givers who look after them
