In this day and age of data-driven decisions, a rare skill is presenting that data in a way that's contextual to your audience; not just charts and graphs. That right there, is the art of storytelling - one of the most underrated skills in tech companies. #data #product

"How are you?", "Feeling better?" are some of the hardest questions to answer honestly... but as you said, this too shall one day pass. First we survive, then we thrive. Hang in there.

And I'm never quite sure how to answer the question 'Feeling better today?'. Depression is not a flu where your 'symptoms' get better overnight. It's a long journey. Some days I'm extremely happy and most days, I am joyless & not quite sure how to face my everyday life demands.

A brilliant doctor, and an even better friend. The only doctor who took my chronic migraines as his own and walked with me for the past 8 years, through it all. Sad we won't get a chance to share that victory drink. Rest in peace Prof.

The medical profession is mourning Prof. Paul G. Kioy who succumbed to COVID-19 complications. He was a Neurologist who served his patients with diligence, great teacher & mentor to many doctors in the country. Heartfelt condolences to the family & friends.

"Good health is a crown that the healthy wear, but only the sick can see." I can't remember where I saw this but it puts things into perspective.

Don't wait for your dream job to do your best work. The easiest path to your dream job is treating your current job (be it intern or CEO) as the most important one you'll ever have and doing your best.

wired.com/story/twitter- Scammers took over high profile Twitter accounts, some with confirmed two-factor authentication, and used them to run a classic scam. In this day and age, any "send me X amount and I'll send you double back" is an outright red flag.
Big Pharma is a very cut-throat, maximum profit industry. Remember when I was trying to import my migraine meds?

They also attempted to monopolise the production of the drug. Assessment was done and it was found that Gilead would still make a profit if each vial sold at $10. I can go on! The US has purchased up all doses of the drug for the next 3 months. May God rescue us!

Feels like someone needs to hear this.. To anyone going through immensely tough personal stuff in the middle of everything 2020 has thrown at the world, keep on keeping on; a day at a time.

Having been there for before, what worked for me was momentum. I set aside just 15 minutes a day where you forget everything else and enjoy the pleasure of working on your gift. Do it as consistently as you can and it could even energize the rest of your day.

Question: How does one work on a gift they have when they are in the season of being unable to make ends meet? How do you create? Honestly seeking. TIA.

You know you've been to hospital too much when you go to fill a prescription then your phone automatically connects to the Wifi and you're on a first-name basis with the staff. Cool peeps though. #chronicpain

Growing up I was afraid to fail or take risks, which meant I missed out on things I didn't think I'd be great at. However, when I embraced failure as a means to move forward and learn, that was a powerful gamechanger. Failure is not permanent!

Yesterday, I had the honour of sitting on the panel of judges for codeHive 2019 pitch competition. Great design and development talent with well thought out projects solving actual market problems. If you're hiring junior designers/devs, definitely look here.

Most emails to mentors/potential investors read: “Hey, I have a great idea, will change the world, when can we meet?” Tip: Change to below for better responses: Hey, (short intro), would love your views on (what you're working on, be brief), attach a concept note/pitch deck.

"Health is a crown that the healthy wear, but only the sick can see it." Don't take waking up healthy for granted. Thank God and make the most it.

A full tank, a nice easy drive to somewhere scenic and quiet, a cold Fanta while enjoying a game drive and a popping sunset. I haven't done one of these in a while. I miss those days. That's my idea of a breather. How do you stay sane amidst the hustle and bustle?

Sad state of most consulting work in Kenya.. The project is always due yesterday, without a budget and your payment due in 30-60 business days; or when the guy authorizing reappears. So money professionals getting a raw deal.

She's back after one and a half months from a warranty repair at Redington Kenya. One day the screen just went out, then somehow managed to short circuit the board. They don't make them like they used to. Thank God for warranty.
