Yeah it was an idea I had early on, a shape would smoothly cycle between 3-6 sides in time with the music as it approached the center.
I'd need to prototype it though, I'm worried it'd be too difficult for players to read, I already avoided sept/octagons for that reason.

Have it constantly change between shapes rapidly (maybe half seconds) and then maybe around 1 1/2 or 2 seconds before it eats to the player
