IMHO weakly-typed languages have their place for small scripts and tools. For complex projects they also have a place alongside decaf coffee: in the bin.

Haha :) They definitely have their place, I just prefer to spend my time debugging stupid mistakes at compile time or typey typey time instead of at runtime. Some people prefer lots of hard to find bugs, though, and that's absolutely ok! ;)

Yeah I think it's a rite of passage for all programmers using weakly-typed languages to slowly lose their sanity as their program complexity increases and eventually see the trade-off they're making for a "simple" language like Python.
