I've reported this to @acccgovau. This kind of shady business practice might work in other countries, but we have consumer rights in Australia and you've just violated several of them.

Ultimately that's for the ACCC to decide, but have a read through and it appears like they hit several AU consumer law points with this change, especially factoring in their prior marketing copy that emphasised a one time fee: https://accc.gov.au

Big thread on Reddit going over the details, but basically misleading advertising. Paid users will no longer get all new features going forward, as they're adding some under a subscription model without grandfathering paid users onto that. They explicitly stated "one-time fee".
