#GunFreeZones high schools were rarely shot up. Mass killings were even fewer. Because not only the teachers could be armed but many of the students kept their guns in the cars in the parking lot. Fear is a deterrent -
Respect is a deterrent. Guns aren't about fear. They are just tools which require respect and honor.

True, but the insane coward fears pain and they fear failure. Knowing armed people will stop them before they get started can certainly be a deterrent. If they just wanted to get shot they would go to a gun store.
