The majority of the general public in Hong Kong actually support the medical staff's decision to go on strike, as the HK government has been reluctant to restrict further inflow of people from China. The professionals are simply asking the govt to face the root cause.

If the government doesn't close the border it just means trains after trains of coronavirus coming to hk on a daily basis. How could Kong Kong medical workers handle the amount of work when they are already overworked at the first place?

Read the news. High speed trains and inter-city trains have been suspected. The medical professionals are overloaded because they are unwilling to accept professional from overseas for decades. This is a shameful protectionism in the world’s freest city
