what differences are standing out to you between the two? I remember switching several years back and not noticing much of a difference (that said, I don't think I'm really a power user of these programs, I only use the basics).
To a first approximation, I never really grok'd GNU screen. All I had to do was spend a few hours with `man tmux` and that was enough to basically understand 90% of what I wanted to do.
Ok, ok. Looks like I need to finally bite the bullet and learn tmux. Ditch the tabs.
Yeah it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. The man page is well written and exhaustive. I basically just spent a few hours with that and the Archlinux tmux wiki article and I was good to go!

I just used tmux for the first time yesterday. It was so easy to get back into a session after SSH dropped.
