@thekbknapp I decreased full release build times for ripgrep by a factor of 2 (68s -> 33s) with a single change: I removed the vec-map feature on clap.

Do you think stripping (with the strip command) can be useful for the released binary (i.e. on brew, nix, archlinux) ?

:-) Yeah it's a little cryptic because the release does cross compiles, so it needs to use the "right" strip binary.
